I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
