Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has requested "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Regional authorities said the city came under intense attacks overnight. A minor died and three other people were hurt.

The strikes come after nights of aerial attacks in the area, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
